Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan is a famous American music producer and singer. Her name is also her popular nickname, the Queen of Funk. Over the course of her nearly fifty years of career Chaka Khan has won a total 10 Grammys. Billboard has ranked her as the 65th-most famous dancer in history. Her birthplace was in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at a very young time by her grandma. The first step in her professional career was performing with different bands. She later joined the group Rufus. She released her first album together with the group at age 20. The group won their first Grammy award the following year. Then, a few years later recorded her first album as an artist on her own. She then released several other albums through the years like 'Echoes from an Era", 'The Woman I Am', and "Funk This.". She is also known for the work she does for charity. Chaka Khan Foundation, which was founded by her to help those with autism, including children and adults and families in need. Khan also works as an actress from time to time. She played sister Carrie who played the leading role in the musical "Mama, I'd Like To Sing'. Chaka Chaka Chaka
