Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th in 1967. She comes from the fourth Roberts family that been a resident of Atlanta. It began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. Her father was a theatre enthusiast since a young time. When he was studying at Emory University, he performed in a variety of productions in Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, he was commissioned into the Air Force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was part of the show as well. They married in 1955. Their first baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was an undergraduate at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they were discharged from the air force and Walter started his education at Tulane. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the family relocated to Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou founded the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted 6 years. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
